An evening of poetry and song written and performed by Rosemary Starace and JoAnne Spies.
“Rosemary Starace and JoAnne Spies are a magical duo of rich, mature talent. To experience their creative enterprise of poetry and song, accompanied by an array of musical sounds, sensitively played, is to be transported to a world looked at through the heart. And felt in the soul. They are connectors to our pasts, our joys and our failings. In speaking their own truth, they bring us into our own. I left the performance with a deep sense of peace and gratitude, and a delicious ache, or tenderness, in being alive. I am looking forward to their next performance!”
“This evening of Wind & Rain with Rosemary Starace and Joanne Spies was a delightful experience. Rosemary’s wonderful poetry, which is not just read but embodied and lived, combined with Joanne’s singing heart-to-heart and tapping-foot to tapping-foot makes you long for a life slathered with these kinds of pleasures. Only complaint: too short—MORE, MORE.”
“What a rich collaboration of two superb artists/writers/musicians…the mix was so filling, yet it left me hungry for more!”
—Sura Diane Sheldon
