Some of her work addresses the subject of adoption from the point of view of an adoptee, but is ultimately about the universal human themes of connection, identity, and kinship. Her talk, interspersed with readings, will reflect on the deep connections humans make that extend the usual idea of kinship, and how this relates to writing poetry, no matter what the subject.
Thursday, March 3rd, 6:30 pm at Chapters Book Store, 78 North Street, Pittsfield, MA. 443-2665. Free.
Note: The Festival springs from the 10th Annual International Women’s Day Conference: Women Write the World, to be held at Bard-Simon’s Rock on March 5.
